UMBERTO ECO : LA BIBLIOTHÈQUE DU MONDE by Davide Ferrario | Église Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (Verdun, Canada)
In partnership with Ciné-Quartier, Umberto Eco’s private library was a world in itself: over 30,000 contemporary books and 1,500 rare and antique volumes. With the help of his family, Davide Ferrario describes a unique place and attempts to capture and represent Eco’s universal idea of a library as the “memory of the world”.

JOURNÉE FIFA AU FESTIVAL DE FILMS D’AUTEUR DE VAL-MORIN [GRATUIT] | (VAL-MORIN, CANADA)
In collaboration with the FESTIVAL DE FILMS D’AUTEUR DE VAL-MORIN (FFAVM), three films will be presented under the FIFA banner: COZIC, a portrait of the Canadian artist duo “Cozic”, formed by Monic Brassard and Yvon Cozic; R. ROUSSIL, LE CUL PAR TERRE, a documentary on Robert Roussil, a major figure in Quebec sculpture, who left his mark on the history of art with his daring works and his commitment to freedom of expression; and L’AVENIR, AWARDED BEST CANADIAN FEATURE FILM AT FIFA 2025, in which Emmanuel Schwartz directs his theater students in a film marking the end of their training, centered on Lize Dompierre, an ailing actress who chooses to stay with her classmates until the last day. Together, they prepare a unique show in tribute to their friend, a solemn farewell that turns their destiny upside down. This presentation is made possible with the support of the Caisse du dépôt et de placement du Québec (CDPQ).

The film follows the life of Niki de Saint Phalle, played by Charlotte Le Bon, from her exile in France to her early modeling career. Director Céline Sallette has created a powerful first feature about trauma and redemption through art. A poignant feminist portrait with the overtones of a biographical essay.
