CASA BRONFMAN

Canadian architect Peter Rose (b. 1943) designed the six-storey Manhattan townhouse of financier and philanthropist Edgar Bronfman Jr. and his wife Clarissa, an avid art collector. With the help of a 3D model, the architect, who also redesigned the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal, describes his design and the architectural choices that were made to meet the demands of his clients. The Bronfmans takes us through the townhouse, detailing the features of a space judiciously designed for public use-fundraising, parties, art viewing-and the private use of the Bronfman family.
